Fancy purchasing a giant monkey made of coathangers?

Summer Exhibition, The Royal Academy of Art, 14 June—22 August 2010 (paid)

Seeing all the works placed obscenely close together and one on top on another draws me in, simply because I can hear commentators from the 19th century talking about those who went to the summer show, ‘the russle of frou-frou skirts’. Leggings and denim shirts, make no noise sadly, so I wonder what art critics said about the visitors of 2010?

Naturally the art on show was a real mixture, it’s always fun to see how much a piece of art would set you back, so I’d just go and play, ‘guess the price’ with your friends. For the more serious observer, you’ll enjoy the curation of different rooms, but I personally liked the haphazard and ‘uncurated’ aspect of the more traditional academician walls.
